I am a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin--Madison in the Department of African Languages and Literature and am currently studying Hausa here. I had planned to go to the Summer Cooperative African Language Institute, hosted at Ohio University, to study Intermediate Hausa this summer, but unfortunately, SCALI has not yet found a Hausa instructor.
Would anyone on this list know of someone who resides in the U.S. who would be qualified and interested in teaching at the institute this summer? Another possibility might be someone living in Nigeria or Niger, who already has a visa to the U.S.
I would appreciate any assistance that could be given. If you know of a likely candidate, please contact Catherine Cutcher, SCALI Coordinator, as soon as possible, at phone: (740) 593-0272, email: cutcher@ohio.edu. http://www.ohiou.edu/scali
Thanks for your help,
