JOB: Lector in Hausa, SOAS

£21,594 - £26,954 pro rata p.a. inclusive of London Allowance

Applications are invited for a 0.5 FTE Lectorship in Hausa. The successful
candidate will be expected to teach Hausa in BA and MA classes (within the
Department of the Languages and Cultures of Africa), and in evening and weekend
non-degree classes (within the Language Centre). Fluency in Hausa is essential
and prior experience of teaching the speaking, reading and writing of Hausa as
a foreign language effectively to students at various levels is preferred. The
position will commence on 12 September 2005.
